Bat Survey - Ponthir, Cwmbran

Project Summary

This summer, we surveyed this beautiful farm house in Cwmbran, surrounded by extensive farmlands. Throughout our activity surveys, we were able to identify two bat access points and two species of bats roosting in the building - common and soprano pipistrelles!

Wouldn't I know if I had bats?

Bats can squeeze into gaps as small as a couple of centimetres wide. In this case, it was a slightly raised roof tile and a gap between a fascia board and stonework - so small you may not notice them if you didn’t know they were there!
